Busy spring days

Posted 3/30/2015 11:37am by Alan & Amy McKamey.

I apologize for not having time to post anything recently. Our lists of things to do seems to get longer each day even though we remove things.  Our work day is interrupted every 4-5 hours by a hungry bottle lamb that is currently living in the kitchen.  We had a litter of piglets born last night with at least 2 more litters expected in the next 2 weeks.  Hatching will start this weekend and will continue through the fall.  We had hoped to have some garden planted by now, however the weather hasn't cooperated at all!  Crossing our fingers that we can get a few things in this week.  I have been busy making soaps for the coming market as I know when the weather improves I will have little time to work on that as the garden and other farm duties will take much of my time.  We are very excited about the months ahead and all the things that we have scheduled.  I have shared a few pictures of the sheep and our young feeder piglet group enjoying the bit of sunshine that we had yesterday.  I hope you all have a wonderful week!
