30 minute stir fry


Ingredients in red can be purchased seasonally at the farm

2Tbsp lard

1 pound round steak thinly sliced(can substitute pork, chicken, duck, turkey)

1 10 ounce can beef broth

1 1/2 cups sliced celery

1 green bell pepper sliced

1 large onion sliced

1 1/2 cups mushrooms

1 1/2 cups broccoli

1 Tbsp soy sauce(more if you like)

3 cloves garlic

2 Tbsp cornstarch

1/4 cup water

6 cups cooked rice

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.  Add your meat of choice.  Cook stirring occasionally until it is browned.  Add broth, celery, bell pepper, onion, mushrooms, broccoli and soy sauce to skillet.  Cover and simmer stirring occasionally until the broccoli is tender.  Add garlic and simmer a few extra minutes.  Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl.  Add cornstarch mixture to skillet, stirring until sauce is thickened.  Divide hot rice among individual serving plates and spoon stir fry over the top.
